In January of 2020, I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy. Originally I was set to spend 5 months abroad, but due to Covid-19, I was sent home after my first month there. During my time abroad, I traveled to Rome, Venice, and Pisa indulging in Italian cuisine, visiting beautiful monuments, and creating lifelong friendships. Thankfully, the Lorenzo de' Medici Institute was flexible in offering online courses so that I could complete my degree requirements when I arrived back home. Courses included: Basic Blockprinting, Accessory Design, Fashion Photography, Italian Food & Wine Pairing, and Italian Language.
